On socio-politically relevant topics, especially in the areas of non-discrimination, equal opportunities and gender mainstreaming, diversity and variety, climate protection, sustainability and fairness, there is funding call for contemporary visual arts and exhibition projects that show a connection to Lower Austria. In concrete terms, this means that art projects, exhibitions and events with a focus on contemporary visual arts (including painting, sculpture, installation, performance, photography, media art, etc.) can submit an application to receive support.
A prerequisite for the awarding of a grant is a demonstrable connection to Lower Austria on the part of the recipient of the grant. This and the further conditions for the applicaton can be read at the link below.

Since 2017, the Drawing Lab, the Drawing Society's production and exhibition space, has been offering a panorama of the different ways of practising drawing.
In 2024, the Drawing Lab's call for projects entitled Nouveaux médias•iums aims to contribute to the production of an exhibition that examines drawing through new media (digital, virtual, NFT, video games, animation, AI, etc.) while exploring new mediums (computer, digital tablet, virtual reality headsets, screens, etc.). Drawing can then become be set free from its materiality and from space, thus creating new dimensions.
This call for projects exclusively concerns artist/curator duos.
Artists and curators responding to this call for projects must be at least 25 years old, be of French nationality or currently live in France.

Wars and crises destroy our civilisational achievements. What can art do to counteract this? What visionary and unifying power can it unfold?
The Carinthian Cultural Foundation (Kärntner Kulturstiftung) announces the 2nd Open Call for cultural projects. The foundation is looking for innovative, inclusive and intergenerational projects that convey attitudes and humanistic values, that transcend borders and connect people, that belong to contemporary project ideas from all areas and genres of art and culture. Artists of all disciplines are invited to develop outstanding, clearly visible and sustainable projects and to address them artistically. The visual and experiential nature of art and culture, a contemporary approach and an international orientation are what the foundations is looking for.
All artists and cultural practitioners, art and cultural mediators, individuals, cultural associations, working groups, artists' collectives and other cultural organisations from all disciplines who are based in Austria (official registration form) can apply. They can also cooperate on the project with project partners who are not based in Austria but the main part of the project implementation must take place in the territory of the Federal Province of Carinthia in Austria. A jury will decide on the projects in closed session and the KKS provides its support by granting financial means on the basis of co-financing.
